Ultimate Fandom Night

About

Description

An Ultimate Custom Night fangame inspired by Ultimate Random Night I'm working on right now to put on Roblox. It will be released as a prototype to what's to come as soon as it will have playable nights.

You will be able to play as either the animatronics from FNAF fangames or as the nightguard in an office based on the games of the active animatronics of the night's pre-made challenge. All of this making each and every night different.

What's planned

The two first fangames that are going to be added for the release of the prototype are going to be Five Nights at Candy's and The Joy of Creation, the latter won't have all of its features avaible and all will be added with updates to the game.

How does it work

The animatronics will be made so that they can be fun and interesting to play so you don't say "Ugh, I really got this guy again?", the game shouldn't have characters that don't add anything to the game and should all be somewhat different to one another even if it makes the character less like the original one.

Things stated below are subject to change, they will work like that for the prototype but will change later on.

At the beginning of a night, a challenge will be chosen with all players taking of the roles of the challenge. A pop-up explaining what to do will appear and you will then be able to play.

The challenges will be made out of characters that work with eachother so there's no problems with the nightguard dying to unfair RNG but also to make fun nights with animatronics that can be interesting together. For each challenges the office will look different.

Maps will be made only based on the animatronics active for the challenge, there won't be stuff that are here because of animatronic that's not even here, and the map's theme will use the ones of the animatronics' fangames. This also means that the structure of the map is different for each challenges.

My thoughts

In comparison to the others

I really like the idea of fangames taking their original game and make them multiplayer with all of the npcs becoming playable. I think that Ultimate Random did well with that. I especially like how they made Chica. For the nightguard it's just an animatronic coming to you and wasting a bit of your time, but it's still great to play as the animatronic.

I really think that all characters in my game could work. The game isn't perfect, there's still lots of problems even if it's one of my favorite Roblox game. That's why I want to make a game like that, even though I still want to make it different to play so you can enjoy them both individualy because of their differences. Y'know there's also FNaF Mashup Multiplayer, it feels a bit different but I still think it should be more different than URN.

It may seem impossible to that in my situation but I'm really not trying to make a copy of these games, as much as they themself aren't just copies of UCN and could be played separatly. I think it's possible to do that with my fangame because of how it's going to work. I've also wondered that, if the game is not unique enough, there maybe could be a way to really change how the game is played, like controlling multiple animatronics. I think that idea can be fun but overwhelming, so there's always things to figure out here. I'm going to test lots of things like that in the alpha to see what works so I can polish more my game in the beta phase.

So what is the prototype going be?

I really want to make this game easy for me to do. There won't be a lot of stuff at that point, I just want the essentials to be playable so I can work with all of it like as a template to see what works and what doesn't. That's why I want to only focus on how the animatronics' mechanics and the different offices, parts of the game that will definitively not change.

Honestly I don't think the game will be that enjoyable during the prototype state but it's really to test things out and not to get a finished product as fast as possible that didn't get much thought into. But I don't know, maybe the game will be feel unique enough and the prototype will be okay, since basically the most enjoyable part of the game is the nights each being very different.
